RULES

• The player that wins the toss, breaks
• The 1-ball must be hit first and either a ball pocketed or at least four balls must hit a cushion
• If the cue ball is pocketed, or the requirements of the opening break are not met, it is a foul and the incoming player may place the cue ball anywhere on the table
• On each shot, the cue ball must contact the lowest numbered ball on the table first. If not, the shot is a foul.
• Balls need not be pocketed in order
• If a player pockets any ball on a legal shot, he remains at the table and continues until missing, committing a foul, or winning the game by pocketing the 9-ball
• After a miss, the incoming player must shoot from the position left by the previous player, but after any foul the incoming player may start with the cue ball anywhere on the table
• If no object ball is pocketed, failure to drive a ball onto a cushion is a foul
• If a player fouls three times in a row, the game is lost
