The Cricketer's Arms is located in the middle of the hamlet of Littleworth, which itself lies between Wheatley and Horspath - just over 3 miles (or 5 minutes or so by car) from Cowley and Headington. There is parking either on the pub frontage - where we can reserve a space for you if you let us know in advance - or around fifty metres away on the former Littleworth Green in front of Littleworth Business Park.

Take the A40 towards London. Pass Sandhills and Thornhill Park & Ride. Straight after the second Forest Hill turn (sign posted Islip), take the Wheatley turn off. Right at the "T" junction, follow the road around over the A40 and into Wheatley, straight over the mini-roundabout then right at the "T" junction at the bottom of the hill. Follow this road through the narrow part and onto Littleworth road, then past Wheatley Primary School on the right, turn left before Old Road, over the bridge and then into Littleworth village. You will see Littleworth Business Centre on the left, we are just around the corner on the right.
From the A4142 Oxford Ring Road, take the turn off at Cowley (BMW) to Horspath. Go through Horspath village and after passing under the railway bridge, turn left. Go up Gidley Hill and follow the road into Littleworth village. We are on the left in the middle of the village.
Leave the M40 at junction 8 onto the A40. Leave the A40 at junction 8 and take the A418 exit to Tiddington/Thame/Waterstock/Aylesbury/Wheatley. Turn left onto London Road. After a mile, turn left onto Church Road and follow this road through the narrow part and onto Littleworth road, and then past Wheatley Primary School on the right, turn left before Old Road, over the bridge and then into Littleworth village. You will see Littleworth Business Centre on the left, we are just around the corner on the right.
Heyfordian offer a fantastic bus service from the centre of Oxford (St. Aldates G2 or outside the Mitre Hotel in High Street) or Cowley, Templars Square. Catch either the 103 or the 104 heading towards Great Milton or Garsington and it goes past our door. Note that this service does not operate in the evening.
You can also get the U1 Brookes Bus and 208 (Aylesbury - Thame - Oxford) services to Wheatley and walk the last bit to our pub from Church Road (see map below). The U1 service operates throughout the weekend and into the night.

Stuart, the Landlord is a keen cyclist, regularly commuting from Littleworth to Oxford via his push bike. The most direct route from Oxford is over the top of Shotover, which is rather hard work from the Oxford end, but not so bad heading towards Oxford from Littleworth (although still quite steep, so you need a few gears). If coming from Oxford, you need to find Old Road from Headington Quarry. But this is Oxford, so you have other choices: There is a cycle path alongside the London bound side of the A40, heading out of Oxford via Headington, which is easy going, especially as the wind is often from the West. Alternatively, there is a cycle path from Cowley to Horspath, but you then have Gidley Way (hill) to negotiate before dropping down into Littleworth.

If you are walking around Shotover, you can easily divert to us by walking along the Plain, down the hill towards Wheatley and turning right at the junction of Old road and Littleworth road before the railway bridge, walking a little way up Keydale road and taking the cutting on the left into Littleworth village.
